Law enforcement officials are investigating after three people were found dead in an Iowa Falls home early Sunday morning in what is being treated as an apparent murder-suicide.

The Hardin County Dispatch Center received a 911 call at approximately 4:00 a.m. from a residence in the 1100 block of Willow Lane. The caller reported that multiple individuals inside the home were unresponsive.
Iowa Falls Police officers and Hardin County Sheriff’s deputies responded and located three people deceased from what authorities say appear to be gunshot wounds. A fourth person was also found at the scene suffering from a non-fatal gunshot injury and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been released.
The identities of those involved have not yet been made public, pending notification of family.
At this stage of the investigation, authorities say there is no ongoing threat to the public, indicating the incident was contained to the home.
The Iowa Falls Police Department is leading the investigation and is being assisted by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the Hardin County E-Squad, and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
Officials say more information will be released
