Fatal Stabbing Near Glasgow Central Station Prompts Gordon Street Closure

A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed the incident:

“Around 12.55pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025, we were called to a report of a man assaulted on Union Street, Glasgow. Officers attended and the man has been taken by ambulance to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing in the Union Street area.”

The condition of the injured man has not yet been released.

Witness Accounts
Several bystanders reported seeing a disturbance shortly before police arrived.

One witness told the Glasgow Times:

“I heard shouting just before 1pm and saw a group of men running, then one man was attacked. A few people stopped to help and called an ambulance.”

Another witness, who observed police activity afterward, noted officers conducting a thorough search nearby:

“It looked like something may have happened in the alley. Police were examining the area carefully and searching under a parked van.”
