The shooting took place around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Church Street and Center Street.
A 21-year old man and another 18-year-old woman were found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. Shortly after, another 21-year-old man arrived at Yale New Haven Hospital, also with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Police say camera footage shows an exchange of gunfire between two people in the area which seems to indicate the victims were not intended targets.

“It seems like this was some innocent victims who were caught in a crossfire,” Officer Christian Bruckhart said. “We’re trying to go through anything we can find, ballistics, video, witness statements.”
