Michelle Buhler Car Accident; Tragic Two-Vehicle Collision in McCracken County Claims One Life

Authorities are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Blandville Road and McKendree Church Road, resulting in the death of Michelle Buhler, 30, of Paducah.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened when Lee Turner, 36, of Paducah, was traveling eastbound on Blandville Road in a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu. Turner was accompanied by Michelle Buhler and three young children.

Preliminary findings indicate that Turner encountered slowed traffic and attempted to avoid rear-ending another vehicle by briefly moving into the westbound lane. While in that lane, Turner’s vehicle was struck by a westbound 2005 Ram 1500 pickup driven by Amy Krieger, 51, of Jackson, Missouri.

Michelle Buhler sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Turner, Krieger, and the three children in Turner’s vehicle were not injured.

The crash prompted a coordinated response from local emergency services, including Mercy Regional Ambulance, West McCracken Fire Department, Paducah Police Department, McCracken County DES, McCracken County Coroner’s Office, and Bailey’s Wrecker Service.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office asked the community to keep the Buhler family and their children in thoughts and prayers during this difficult and tragic time.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash to determine the full sequence of events and any contributing factors.

Michelle Buhler’s passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly accidents can change lives, and her family and loved ones remain in the hearts of the community during this period of mourning.
