According to police, Noel—who was in his 60s—succumbed to his injuries in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the southeast community of Highfield. The collision occurred early Thursday afternoon in a loading bay area in the 1500 block of Hastings Crescent S.E.

He was rushed to the hospital in life-threatening condition but sadly did not survive. The Calgary Police Service Traffic Unit and Occupational Health and Safety continue to investigate the incident.
