Police are actively searching for a suspect after a man was found fatally shot at an apartment complex in North Las Vegas late Sunday night.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of [insert street name if known], where they discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by emergency crews, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives with the North Las Vegas Police Department’s Homicide Unit have launched a full investigation. Crime scene technicians spent hours collecting evidence and reviewing surveillance footage from nearby apartments and businesses.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of family members. Police have not confirmed a motive but believe the shooting was targeted rather than random.
