Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday afternoon on Hall Road near Fulton Street. The Alcoa Police Department (APD), Alcoa Fire Department (AFD), and American Medical Response (AMR) responded to the scene at approximately 5:15 p.m. after a single-vehicle crash with injuries was reported.

According to the APD reconstruction team, James Brooks, 36, of Maryville, Tennessee, was traveling north on Hall Road in a truck when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree in the median, and came to rest in the northbound lanes. First responders found Brooks unresponsive at the scene. He was transported by AMR to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
