Authorities are conducting an investigation into a murder-suicide incident that occurred at a local 7-Eleven, resulting in the death of a worker.
Law enforcement and emergency personnel responded to the 7-Eleven located on Highway 99 following reports of a shooting on October 17.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered two men within the store suffering from gunshot wounds. Both individuals were transported to a hospital, where they were later declared deceased.
As per the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office, 26-year-old Ryan Taylor from Vancouver fatally shot 37-year-old Pardeep Kumar, also from Vancouver, before turning the gun on himself.
Investigators have stated that Kumar was employed at the store and had no known association with Taylor.
The major crimes unit is overseeing the investigation. Officials have indicated that the evidence suggests the shooting was a murder-suicide.
