In Loving Memory of Past Chief Thomas Dembek

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Past Chief and life member Thomas Dembek, a dedicated servant of the Goshen community and a lifelong member of the fire department. Tom joined the department in 1969 and devoted over five decades to the safety and well-being of the town and its residents.

Throughout his remarkable career, Tom served in every rank within the department, exemplifying leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment. He was often the first to arrive at emergencies, setting the standard for bravery and professionalism. Tom was not only a leader for his fellow firefighters, including junior members and social members, but also a mentor whose guidance shaped the careers and lives of countless individuals. He truly embodied the spirit of a fireman’s fireman.

SUPPORT THE FAMILY, GOD BLESS YOU

Beyond the firehouse, Tom contributed significantly to the wider community. He served on the town’s Representative Town Meeting (RTM), the emergency management committee, the radio committee, and numerous other local initiatives, always striving to make Goshen a safer and stronger community.
