Over the years, he gave tirelessly to North Vermillion athletics, coaching football, junior high basketball, track and field, and volleyball. But his impact extended far beyond the sports arena. Ben taught valuable lessons about hard work, integrity, and resilience, shaping the character of countless students, including the children of many families in the community.
His commitment and care made a difference not only to athletes but to everyone around him. Ben’s warmth, leadership, and friendship created a supportive environment where young people could grow and thrive.
In honor of his remarkable contributions, Terre Haute North and other Wabash Valley schools will keep their football field lights on tonight as a tribute to Ben’s lasting impact and spirit. This meaningful gesture reflects the bright light he brought to the community—a light that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
Ben is survived by his loving wife, Hilary, their children, Atticus and Jorja, and his brothers Luke, Calvin, and Nate, who recently honored their brother beneath the lights. The Blank family appreciates the community’s thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
