SUPPORT THE FAMILY, GOD BLESS YOU

Officers were called to the area of Airport Road and Queen Street East earlier in the day following reports of gunfire. When police arrived, they found Kulla suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders to save her life, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have since named 38-year-old Anthony Deschepper, Kulla’s boyfriend, as the primary suspect in her killing. Authorities believe he fled the scene in a 2024 black Nissan Kicks with Quebec license plate FRV4520.

Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an intimate partner dispute, and Deschepper is considered armed and dangerous. A province-wide Amber Alert was issued shortly after the shooting when a one-year-old child, believed to be connected to the couple, was reported missing. The child was later found safe with family members, but the suspect remains at large.

Police continue to search for Deschepper, who is described as:

38 years old
5’9” tall, 175 lbs
Brown hair, clean-shaven
Last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans, and carrying a black crossbody bag
Authorities believe he may have travelled to the Fort Erie area near Prospect Point and Ridgeway Road, prompting local police to issue a shelter-in-place advisory for residents.\

Peel Regional Police are urging the public not to approach Deschepper if seen and to call 911 immediately.

“This is a tragic and senseless loss of life,” police said in a statement. “We are doing everything possible to locate the suspect and ensure the safety of the public.”

The death of Savannah Kulla has sent shockwaves through the Brampton community, where friends and family have begun sharing tributes online remembering her as a kind-hearted, loving young woman whose life was cut far too short.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Anthony Deschepper or the suspect vehicle is urged to contact Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
