A deadly shooting late Monday night claimed the life of 45-year-old Jasmine Singleton inside her home on Cedar Hill Drive, leaving the community shaken.

Police say officers responded to a shots-fired call around 11 p.m. on October 20, 2025, and found Singleton suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have identified 42-year-old Carlton D. Mack, Singleton’s ex-boyfriend, as a person of interest. Witnesses reported seeing a gold Chevrolet Tahoe fleeing the area moments after the shooting. The vehicle, registered to Mack, was later found abandoned in Jackson. Police say Mack has a history of domestic violence-related arrests and remains wanted in connection with the case.

The Clinton Police Department, with support from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, continues to search for Mack.
