Authorities have identified the man who was killed in a rollover crash early Saturday morning near Texas State Technical College (TSTC) and L-3 Harris in Waco.
According to the Waco Police Department, the victim has been identified as 23-year-old Israel Gutierrez. Officers were called to the intersection of Concord Road and Airline Drive at approximately 3:42 a.m., where they discovered a vehicle on its side.
Gutierrez, who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel. Investigators believe the crash occurred when the vehicle lost control and rolled over before coming to rest on its side.
Authorities have not yet released further details on what may have caused the accident, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Friends and family are mourning the sudden loss of Israel Gutierrez, remembering him as a kind-hearted young man whose life ended far too soon.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has additional information to contact the Waco Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Unit as the investigation continues.
