SUPPORT THE FAMILY, GOD BLESS YOU

The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is leading the investigation and has confirmed that the fatal crash occurred when the driver of a 2000 Nissan Xterra failed to stop at a sign on West 21st Avenue and struck Hector’s 2008 Honda CBR motorcycle, which was traveling north on Main Street. The impact of the crash left Hector with no time to avoid the collision.

Authorities say the driver of the SUV fled the scene on foot, leaving both vehicles at rest on East 21st Avenue. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Security footage from a nearby business captured the moment of the collision, which has been reviewed by investigators. Officials are urging anyone with information about the driver’s identity or whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.

Hector Santos Martinez will be remembered as a young man full of promise, passion, and a love for life. His sudden loss has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the Springfield community.

May his memory live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him, and may he rest in eternal peace
