The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred early Sunday morning, October 19, 2025, at the intersection of Highway 41 and Lakeview Road.
Deputies say 39-year-old Zachary Allen Eddy, of North Carolina, was riding a 2023 Indian Chieftain motorcycle northbound on Highway 41 around 2:56 a.m. when he failed to negotiate the roundabout at Lakeview Road and lost control. The motorcycle crashed, and Eddy sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and authorities have not indicated that speed or impairment were factors at this time.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division is continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Garrett Painter at 478-542-2080.
