Jennifer’s love for others was boundless. She gave everything she had to ensure that the children, families, and staff she worked with felt supported, valued, and loved. Her passion for early childhood education and her commitment to providing a safe, enriching environment for every child were unmatched. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or a listening ear, Jennifer made each person feel special and important. Her strength, compassion, and kindness will be sorely missed, but we know her spirit will continue to live on in the community she so lovingly built.
Though the loss of Jennifer leaves a void that can never be filled, we take comfort knowing her vision for Lily Pad will carry on. Her husband, Dave Helgen, will be taking over the ownership and operations of Lily Pad, and we are grateful for his commitment to ensuring that Jennifer’s legacy remains strong. Under his leadership, we know Lily Pad will continue to be a safe, loving place for children and families to grow, just as Jennifer always dreamed.
As we navigate this difficult time, we will honor Jennifer’s memory in all that we do. In her honor, Lily Pad will be closed this Thursday, October 23rd, to allow for her service and to give everyone a chance to pay their respects.
