Lisa was not only a talented educator but also a kind, compassionate, and dedicated individual who had a profound impact on everyone she met. As a mathematics teacher at Cherokee High School, she inspired countless students to embrace the power of math and approach learning with confidence. In addition to her role at Cherokee High School, Lisa also served as adjunct faculty at Walters State Community College, sharing her love for mathematics with a broader community of learners. Her contributions to education extended beyond the classroom, as she also held positions as a former teacher and coach at Cosby High School, further demonstrating her dedication to shaping young minds and encouraging them to reach their fullest potential.
Lisa’s educational journey was one marked by a deep commitment to her students and to the field of mathematics. She earned her degree in Mathematics Education from East Tennessee State University and continued her studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her love for learning never wavered, and she was passionate about helping others find joy and purpose in mathematics.
A native of Greeneville, Tennessee, Lisa was deeply rooted in her community. She took great pride in being a part of the place where she grew up, and her work as an educator was a reflection of her love for both the town and its people.
