A tragic crash early Saturday morning claimed the life of 45-year-old Rasah Harris of Camden. According to New Jersey State Police Trooper Christopher Postorino, the fatal accident occurred around 1:12 a.m. on Interstate 295 southbound near milepost 9.4 in Logan Township.
Authorities say Harris lost control of his vehicle, which veered off the roadway to the right, striking a parked Kia passenger car before continuing into a wooded area. The vehicle then collided with several trees and a fence, causing it to become fully engulfed in flames.
Harris was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Kia that was struck was unoccupied at the time, and no additional injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation by the New Jersey State Police, as officials work to determine the cause of the accident.
This devastating incident has left family, friends, and the Camden community mourning the loss of a beloved man whose life was tragically cut short.
