Hiran Thas Markham, Ontario Car Accident: Ex-Player at Jarvis Soccer, Hiran Thas Died in Fatal Scarborough Motorcycle Crash

The Jarvis Soccer Club community is mourning the tragic loss of Hiran, a beloved member of the 2007 Rep Team, who passed away following a fatal motorcycle collision in Scarborough on Tuesday morning.

Toronto Police said the crash, which involved a motorcycle and an SUV, occurred around 8:22 a.m. near Markham Road and Cougar Court, just north of Kingston Road. Despite emergency efforts, the 28-year-old rider, identified as Hiran Thas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV remained on site and cooperated with investigators. Police have confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, and road closures were put in place in the area.

The news has sent shockwaves through the Jarvis SC family, who remembered Hiran not only as a talented athlete but as a cherished son, brother, and teammate.

In a heartfelt statement, the club said:
“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Hiran (2007 Rep Team Player), beloved son of Thas and Tharshi, and cherished brother of Hari and Nila. This is a heartbreaking loss for Thas’s family and for our entire Jarvis family. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Thas and his family during this difficult time. May Hiran’s soul rest in peace.”
