In Loving Memory: Victims of the Tragic I-55 Crash

It is with deep sadness that we remember the lives of Darla P. Parris, 53, of Pevely, Missouri; Vanessa Y. Knowles, 63, of Memphis, Tennessee; and Donnie Briggs, 65, of Memphis, Tennessee, who tragically lost their lives in a fatal crash on Interstate 55 South in Jefferson County on Sunday, September 28.

The crash, which occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m., involved a chain reaction after an 18-wheeler, driven by Richard Allen Holden, collided with slowed traffic in a construction zone. The women were pronounced dead at the scene, and their loss is mourned by family, friends, and the community.

Holden has been charged with three counts of second-degree involuntary manslaughter and remains in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.
