A tragic accident claimed the life of 36-year-old Fidelmar Duran Perez on Monday evening after his motorcycle collided with a Buick in Victorville. The crash occurred at 5:16 p.m. at the busy intersection of Bear Valley Road and Mesa View Drive, a location known for heavy traffic and frequent congestion.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the collision happened when 76-year-old Charles Gilmore attempted to make a left turn in his Buick. As he crossed westbound lanes of traffic, Perez, who was riding a Yamaha motorcycle, struck the vehicle with devastating force.
Witnesses reported seeing the impact throw Perez violently to the ground. Despite immediate calls for help, his injuries were too severe, and he died before paramedics could reach him.Emergency crews, including firefighters, deputies, and medical personnel, arrived within minutes of the crash. They worked quickly to secure the area, render aid, and begin the investigation.
Unfortunately, nothing could be done to save Perez, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Gilmore, the driver of the Buick, remained at the location and cooperated with investigators.
