EAGLE PASS, Texas – Tragedy has struck the Eagle Pass community as authorities confirmed that Marcus “Mark” Antley, a retired U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent, was one of the victims killed during Saturday night’s mass shooting at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino.

Antley was fatally struck when gunfire erupted inside the packed casino during a weekend raffle event. His wife was also injured in the incident, suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. She was transported for medical treatment and is expected to recover.

SUPPORT THE FAMILY, GOD BLESS YOU

Friends, former colleagues, and community members describe Antley as a respected figure who dedicated his life to public service. His death has left a deep void among family, friends, and the law enforcement community.

In a show of solidarity and mourning, CBP colleagues have begun sharing images of a CBP badge draped in black across social media, honoring his years of service and sacrifice.

The shooting, which claimed two lives and left at least six others injured, remains under active investigation. Authorities confirmed the suspect was captured in Wilson County following a coordinated, multi-agency effort.

As Eagle Pass grieves, tributes continue to pour in for Antley—remembered not only for his career in law enforcement, but also for his generosity, leadership, and enduring friendships throughout the region.
