The communities of Trinidad and San Francisco are grieving the loss of Seth Talkington, EIT, a cherished son, brother, friend, and respected engineer, who passed away last week after a courageous battle with depression.

A graduate of the University of California, Davis, Seth was working as a Project Engineer at BKF Engineers in San Francisco, where he was admired for his talent, professionalism, and dedication. With a strong background in civil engineering, he contributed to both geotechnical and land development projects. He had been diligently preparing to take California’s seismic and surveying exams to become a licensed professional engineer.

To those who knew him, Seth was more than his professional achievements. Friends, family, and colleagues remember him as a man defined by kindness, generosity, and a quiet strength that uplifted others. His warmth and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Funeral services for Seth will be held on Sunday, September 28, with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. and services at 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow. The exact location of the gathering will be announced in the coming days.
