A tragic domestic incident in Duncan is under investigation after police discovered two people dead inside a home earlier this week.
According to Duncan RCMP, officers were called to a residence on Cowichan Lake Road for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found a man and woman deceased inside the apartment.
Authorities say the deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide, though few additional details have been released at this time.
“Incidents like this are deeply troubling and have a significant impact on the community,” RCMP said in a statement. The investigation is ongoing, and police have not disclosed the identities of the deceased.
No threat to public safety has been reported.
