A major police response is underway at John F. Kennedy School in Windsor after reports of a possible school shooting Wednesday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, the school—located on Park Avenue—was placed on lockdown shortly after the incident was reported. Connecticut State Police, along with Windsor Police and multiple neighboring agencies, responded to the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing officers carrying long guns moving into position around the school as parents rushed to the area. Emergency medical services, including ambulances, are also on standby near the school grounds.
