A major police incident is unfolding in North Codorus Township after reports of an active shooter in the area of Senft Road near Haar Road.
According to initial emergency dispatch logs, the call came in around 2:13 p.m. describing an “officer down/signal 13” situation. Multiple law enforcement units, EMS crews, and medical response teams rushed to the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that several officers have been struck by gunfire:
Three officers are listed as Dead.
Two officers are listed as Class 1 (critical condition).
Emergency responders from EMS Station 97, including A97-41 and MICU97-51, were dispatched to assist.
In response to the unfolding situation, York Hospital has been placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure while victims are transported for treatment.
Police are urging residents in the surrounding area to shelter in place and avoid Senft Road and Emig Road until the scene is secured.
At this time, authorities have not confirmed whether the suspect is in custody. The situation remains active and fluid.
