Authorities have identified the pedestrian tragically killed after being struck by a Metra train on Saturday morning in Glencoe.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim as Daniella V. Weisman, 48, a beloved wife, mother, and Glencoe resident.
The incident occurred on September 6, 2025, at approximately 9:35 a.m., when Glencoe Public Safety personnel responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a southbound Metra train on the Union Pacific North Railroad line near Green Bay Road and Maple Hill Road.
According to the initial investigation, Daniella was crossing the tracks westbound when the train approached. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. A dog with her was also found dead.
Railroad and vehicular traffic was temporarily halted as crews responded, but the area reopened by midday Saturday. The case remains under investigation by the Metra Police Department.
The Village of Glencoe issued a statement extending “its most sincere condolences to the family and friends of the victim during this difficult time.”
