Ternesha Burroughs, a beloved high school math teacher and proud member of Education Minnesota–OSSEO, has passed away unexpectedly, leaving her students, colleagues, and friends heartbroken.

A dedicated educator at Park Center Senior High School in Brooklyn Park, Ternesha—affectionately known as “T”—was more than just a teacher; she was a mentor, friend, and source of light for everyone who crossed her path.
One of the very first people I connected with when I began working at Park Center, she immediately stood out for her warmth, authenticity, and infectious humor. Ternesha had an extraordinary gift for making people feel welcomed and valued.
She was real, down-to-earth, and never afraid to speak her mind, all while uplifting those around her. Her brilliance as an educator was matched only by her compassion as a human being.
Whether she was helping a student understand a difficult concept, sharing a laugh in the staff lounge, or offering a listening ear during challenging times, Ternesha’s presence made a difference. She had an uncanny resemblance to members of my own family, and in many ways, she felt like family to me.
The news of her passing has left our Park Center community in deep grief. To my PC family, please know I love you all, and my heart and prayers are with each of you as we navigate this loss together. Ternesha’s spirit, kindness, and legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.
