The Louisa County Department of Fire/EMS and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible drowning report at Lake Anna this weekend.
Law enforcement and water rescues in Louisa County were dispatched to the freshwater coastline after receiving a report of a troubled person in the water. The incident happened on Saturday, just before 9 am in the area of the Virginia Route 652 bridge across Elk Creek.
Multiple departments and mutual aids were dispatched to the scene. After hours of searching, a body was reportedly recovered from the water. The identity of the individual was not released immediately.
