PISCATAWAY, NJ — A devastating family incident unfolded in Piscataway when police fatally shot a machete-wielding suspect Monday after responding to a 911 call from his father, authorities said.
According to Piscataway Police, officers were dispatched to the residence following the father’s call for help. Upon entering the home, officers encountered the suspect, who reportedly posed an immediate threat. Law enforcement fatally shot the individual during the encounter.
Inside the home, officers discovered the bodies of three family members—the suspect’s mother and grandparents—who had been killed prior to police arrival. Police confirmed that the three victims were deceased at the scene.
