Police released new details Thursday evening about an officer-involved shooting at a Ludlow hotel.
Vermont troopers said a Ludlow police officer shot and injured a man at about 6:15 a.m. Thursday at the Fox Run Inn on Main Street, just outside of Ludlow’s downtown.
The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital, where police said Thursday evening that he was listed in stable condition.
Police said no law enforcement officers were injured.
Investigators released no other details about what led to the shooting, but said Thursday evening that they have reviewed video of the incident and interviewed witnesses. They said they will have more updates on Friday.
Anyone with information is asked to call the state police in Westminster at 802-722-4600 or to leave an anonymous tip online.
Following standard protocol, the Vermont State Police say they will withhold the name of the officer for at least 24 hours and that the case will also be investigated by the Vermont Attorney General’s Office and the Windsor County state’s attorney.
