Knoxville Police Department Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Friday night on E. Magnolia Avenue near Olive Street.
At just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, numerous KPD officers responded to 2309 E. Magnolia Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and found an 18-year-old male in the parking lot who had been shot. Officers provided medical aid on scene before the victim was transported to the UT Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unconfirmed at this time and remain under investigation. Detectives are investigating the possibility that there was an altercation involving the victim inside 2309 E. Magnolia prior to the shooting.
A suspect has not been positively identified or charged.
