Heartbreaking footage has captured the loyalty of a Bernese Mountain dog named Maui during the deadly Bondi Beach attack. Amid the chaos and gunfire, Maui remained by her owner’s side, refusing to leave even as the situation became life-threatening.
Her owner, described by friends and family as a “gentle” man, tragically lost his life in the attack. Maui’s devotion was evident in her refusal to abandon him, even in the midst of danger.
Thanks to the efforts of the local community, Maui has now been rescued and reunited with her other owner, the victim’s wife, ensuring she is safe and cared for.
