The Easley, South Carolina, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jody Calin Mason, 36, who was found deceased in Williamston on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Authorities reported that Anderson County dispatch was notified at approximately 9:50 a.m. of a deceased male in the woods off CPR Way at Welcome Road. Preliminary investigations indicate that on Tuesday night, Jody was driving a 2004 Toyota Sequoia on Welcome Road when he was involved in a crash.
It appears he exited the vehicle and left the scene before the South Carolina Highway Patrol arrived. His family reported him missing Friday morning, and he was later found deceased in the same area where the accident occurred.
Jody’s sudden passing has left family, friends, and the Easley community deeply saddened. He is remembered for the life he lived, the love he shared with those around him, and the moments that touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. His absence leaves a profound void, and his memory will be cherished by all who loved him.
The Anderson County Office of the Coroner, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to help determine the cause and manner of death.
