A major multi-vehicle collision in Huntington Beach left one person dead and at least five others injured on Tuesday afternoon. The crash, described by first responders as severe and chaotic, occurred shortly after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Heil Avenue and Goldenwest Street, prompting a large emergency response and an extended closure of the area.
Seven Vehicles Involved
According to initial reports, as many as seven cars were involved in the collision. The Huntington Beach Fire Department (HBFD), along with multiple assisting agencies, responded quickly to the scene after receiving reports of people trapped inside their vehicles and several serious injuries.
First responders worked to free those who were trapped and began immediate medical care. At least five individuals were injured, though the extent of their injuries has not yet been released. Authorities confirmed that one person has died as a result of the crash.
