Queensland Police Service Brisbane Open Day 2025

I recently travelled up north for the Queensland Police Service Brisbane Open Day, held at the Bob Atkinson Operational Capabilities Centre in Wacol.
While the event is very focused on recruitment, it is also an excellent opportunity for anyone to explore what policing is about. Most units you could imagine were on display offering a great opportunity to talk to officers about what they do and the equipment they work with. Some of these units include Highway Patrol, Water Police, Explosive Ordnance Response Team, Public Safety Response Team, Dog Squad, Mounted Unit, and many more.
The facility itself is fairly new, officially opened in 2020 it includes indoor firing ranges, a training scenario village, indoor training rooms and an outdoor training course.
