Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share an unfortunate incident that occurred at our home in Park Ridge during the early hours of Monday, 28th July, between 12:15 AM and 1:10 AM (late Sunday night).
There was a break-in—after a failed attempt to enter through the living room window, the intruders broke the laundry glass door and gained access to our house while we were asleep.
They walked through the house and stole our car, a grey/charcoal Kia Sorento (registration: 966IZ5), along with a bag. Shockingly, they even entered our bedroom. When my wife saw one of them, he ran away immediately.
The police arrived within 10 minutes and are investigating. We were told this group has used the Logan Motorway tolls multiple times around the same window (12:15 AM to 3:30 AM), so we’re hopeful the police can track them down soon.
Thankfully, none of us were harmed, but the experience has left us feeling unsettled and concerned—especially for our children’s safety.
Please stay alert and if you see our car (dark Kia Sorento, 966IZ5), report it to Queensland Police immediately.
For added security, I recommend locking your bedroom doors at night, especially if you have kids, to give yourselves some reaction time in case of an emergency.
Let’s all look out for one another. Hoping our neighbourhood becomes safer for everyone.
Thank you,
