Georgia State Patrol Visits Injured Evansville Officer Sam Taylor During Rehabilitation
Troopers from the Georgia State Patrol recently traveled to Atlanta to visit Evansville Police Officer Sam Taylor at Shepherd Center, offering support and encouragement as he continues his rehabilitation.
Officer Taylor was seriously injured in an on-duty shooting in September, sustaining a gunshot wound to the back that left him paralyzed from the chest down. After receiving initial treatment in Indiana, he transferred to Shepherd Center, where he is expected to remain through the holidays and into January.
During the visit, the troopers spent time with Officer Taylor, listening to his experience and expressing gratitude for his dedication and service. The gathering was a reminder that he is part of a larger law enforcement family that stands with him and his loved ones through this difficult journey.
The Evansville Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol reaffirm their commitment to supporting Officer Taylor as he continues his recovery.
