Man critically injured in overnight shooting in Roseland

CHICAGO — Police are searching for answers on Friday morning after a man was critically injured in a shooting on the city’s Far South Side overnight.

According to police, the shooting unfolded just before 11 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of West 112th Place, in Roseland.

Officers were first called to the scene following a report of a person shot in the area, and when they arrived, they found the victim, a 64-year-old man who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim was later taken to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, and authorities said he was unable to provide them with details about the incident.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and officers say no arrests have been made.
