Springdale Police Investigate Early-Morning Shooting at Whataburger
On Thursday, November 20, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Springdale Police Department received an open 911 call. The caller later informed dispatchers that another individual had fired a shot at him while he was in his vehicle at the Whataburger located at 4172 Elm Springs Road.
Officers responded and contacted the driver, who reported that a male subject in a silver or gray truck had fired at him before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported; however, officers located damage to the victim’s vehicle consistent with a gunshot, along with the projectile.
Springdale Fire/EMS also responded to evaluate a young juvenile in the caller’s vehicle who was experiencing a medical issue unrelated to the shooting.
Area surveillance footage shows the two vehicles following each other through multiple areas of the city, traveling onto Interstate 49, and ultimately entering the Whataburger parking lot. The truck (a gray Dodge Ram) is then seen leaving the lot and traveling north on I-49.
