According to a witness, an adult male walking on Charles Street heard two girls screaming that their friend had been hit by a train. He rushed between the stopped trains and located Caitlynne while calling 911. He attempted to provide aid but found she had no pulse before emergency responders arrived.

Loved ones say Caitlynne was attempting to help a friend in danger on the tracks when she was struck — a final act of bravery that reflects the way she lived her life.
