A 70-year-old woman, Barbara Wooten, has died following a head-on collision Monday evening in Colerain Township. Wooten was transported to Mercy West Hospital after the crash but succumbed to her injuries, according to Colerain Township Police spokesperson Helen Tracey-Noren.
The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Pippin Road, prompting authorities to close the road for approximately two hours while emergency responders attended to the scene. Two additional individuals involved in the accident were also hospitalized, though their current conditions have not been released.
The Colerain Police Traffic Safety Unit is actively investigating the circumstances that led to the collision. Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the department at 513-321-2677.
