The victim was found in the parking lot of an apartment complex int he 1100 block of 42nd Street South with three stab wounds to her left arm and armpit area. She was transported to Sanford Health, where doctors discovered she had a collapsed lung and was admitted for treatment.

According to the report, the victim had allowed Feather, her boyfriend, and two young children to move into her apartment about two days before this incident.

Gun threat preceded stabbing
Court documents say the stabbing occurred around 1:00 p.m. Thursday while the victim was cleaning the apartment. Earlier that day, when another person came to the door to retrieve a cell phone, Feather allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and told her she could not open the door.

Officers responding to the stabbing call found the victim in the parking lot with a makeshift tourniquet applied by a bystander. The three stab wounds were not actively bleeding when officers arrived.

Search warrant executed
Police executed a search warrant at the apartment that afternoon, where they observed what appeared to be blood staining on the kitchen floor and a red stain near a foosball table. The apartment showed signs of a struggle, with furniture overturned and items scattered throughout.

Officers found evidence linking Feather to the residence, including an employee name tag with her boyfriend’s name on it and personal items discovered in a nearby dumpster.

Arrests at hotel
Fargo police located Feather and her boyfriend at the Holiday Inn Express. He was arrested on a separate charge of resisting officers. During booking, officers found a handgun in Feather’s backpack.

Court proceedings
Feather denied stabbing the victim when interviewed by police, according to court documents.

Feather is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Additional firearm charge
Feather also faces a separate felony charge for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person in connection with the handgun found during her arrest. According to court documents, officers discovered a black Smith & Wesson handgun with a magazine containing five rounds in her backpack during booking.

When questioned about the weapon, Feather told officers to “just add it onto mine,” referring to the felon in possession charge, according to the police report. Feather is prohibited from possessing firearms due to previous felony convictions in Pierce County for theft and fleeing a peace officer in 2024.
