Chicago Shooting: At Least Two Dead, Five Injured in Chicago Weekend Mass Shootings

Chicago police say at least two people were killed and five others were injured in shootings across the city over the weekend, with victims ranging in age from 15 to 55.

The first reported shooting occurred around 1:47 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of North Honore Street, where officers found a man believed to be between 18 and 25 years old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Shortly before 3 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 4200 block of South Indiana Avenue. The victim told police that the gunman fired from a vehicle. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Police said additional shootings over the weekend left five others injured, though authorities have not released further details about the victims or the circumstances of those incidents.

No arrests have been reported in connection with the weekend shootings. Police continue to investigate and are urging anyone with information to contact Chicago Crime Stoppers.
