A tragic incident early Monday morning has left a local family devastated after a suspected murder-suicide in Visalia.

At approximately 12:29 a.m., officers from the Visalia Police Department responded to the 2700 block of East La Vida Avenue following reports of a family disturbance. Upon arrival, they discovered a man and a woman deceased inside the residence from gunshot wounds.
Authorities later identified the individuals as Edward “Eddie” Reynoso and his wife, Stephanie Reynoso. Police believe Edward Reynoso shot his wife before taking his own life. The couple were parents to two children. Edward was originally from Exeter, CA.
Edward Reynoso was a well-known Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) instructor, teaching through California Concealed Carry Permit Training and the Utah CCW program, as well as serving as a DOJ-certified Firearms and Safety instructor in Tulare, Kings, and Fresno counties. His work in firearms education had made him a recognized figure within the local CCW community.
The Violent Crimes Unit of the Visalia Police Department has taken over the investigation, which remains active and ongoing. No additional details have been released at this time.
