A tragic collision on New Year’s Eve in Whitehall Township has claimed the life of 39-year-old Nickolas A. Siegfried of Nazareth, Pennsylvania. The incident, which involved a motor vehicle and a bicycle, occurred on December 31, 2025, around 1:15 p.m., near the 2600 block of MacArthur Road, close to Sutler Drive.
According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio, Siegfried, who was riding a bicycle at the time, was struck by a motor vehicle. He was immediately transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 2 p.m. Despite efforts to save him, Siegfried succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision.
The crash was reported to authorities shortly after it occurred, and local law enforcement responded to the scene. The Lehigh County Crash Team, along with the Whitehall Township Police Department and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, have all been involved in the investigation. An autopsy was performed on January 2, 2026, at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center. The results revealed that Siegfried’s cause of death was multiple blunt force traumas, and his death was ruled an accident.
