Authorities have identified the victim in a deadly traffic crash that occurred Saturday afternoon in Plano. The deceased is Nathaniel Molina, a 20-year-old man from Dallas, Texas, according to police.

The crash happened at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the 1500 block of Dallas Parkway southbound. Plano Police officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the scene after reports of a serious collision.
Based on the preliminary investigation, a silver Hyundai Accent was traveling southbound on Dallas Parkway at a high rate of speed when it struck a curb, left the roadway, and collided with a concrete power pole. Police said the vehicle then entered the parking lot of a nearby car dealership, where it struck an unoccupied Subaru Legacy before coming to a stop.
After the collision, the Hyundai caught fire. Witnesses at the scene were able to remove the driver from the vehicle before emergency crews arrived. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was transported by Plano Fire-Rescue to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that no other individuals were injured in the crash. Police stated that speed is believed to be a contributing factor, though the incident remains under active investigation by the Plano Police Traffic Unit.
Officials continue to review the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash as the community mourns the loss of a young life.
