With heavy hearts, the community of Mount Pleasant, Texas, is mourning the tragic and untimely death of Triston Amarion Pippins, 22, who lost his life in a devastating single-vehicle crash in Harnett County, North Carolina, early Sunday morning.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Triston was driving a 2019 Hyundai Sonata south on Nursery Road when he failed to stop at the T-intersection with Overhills Road. His vehicle left the roadway, entered the woods, struck a tree, and caught fire. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Triston was pronounced deceased at the scene. Troopers reported that speed was a contributing factor, while impairment is still under investigation.
Triston, a young man of only 22, had his whole life ahead of him. His sudden passing has left family, friends, and his hometown community in Mount Pleasant devastated.
