Weekend “Roving Party” in Orange County Leads to Multiple Arrests

This past weekend, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) responded to several reports of a “roving party” in the Barboursville area, where large groups of people were moving through the community, creating safety concerns. The incident comes shortly after a similar event in Greene County, which was linked to a recent shooting.

Deputies on scene made contact with multiple individuals attempting to flee the area. As a result, three arrests were made on charges including Drunk in Public, Underage Possession of Alcohol, and Assault and Battery.

The OCSO emphasized that it is heavily monitoring the area and will not tolerate trespassing, driving while intoxicated, or engaging in disorderly and dangerous behavior. Public safety remains a top priority, and officers stated that enforcement efforts will continue to prevent similar incidents in the future.
