A fight involving multiple juveniles at the Mall of Victor Valley escalated into a shooting on Sunday evening, prompting a major law enforcement response and evacuation of the entire mall.

The incident took place around 6:39 p.m. on December 21, 2025, just outside the food court entrance nearest to the Cinemark 16 movie theater at 14400 Mall Boulevard in Victorville.
According to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, “Dispatch initially received reports of multiple juveniles fighting at the mall. The incident escalated and shots were fired. One person was shot, and they were transported to the hospital.”

Multiple witnesses who contacted VVNG reported hearing gunshots followed by screaming, leading to panic and confusion.
Witnesses also described a large police presence that included deputies from the Sheriff’s Department and officers from the California Highway Patrol’s Victorville station.
A helicopter was seen circling overhead during the initial response.
As a safety precaution, the entire mall was evacuated, and all stores were shut down as deputies secured the area and began investigating.
Despite several reports claiming the shooting took place inside the theater, VVNG confirmed with officials that the incident occurred outside the mall.
No arrests have been made, and the mall is expected to remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.
This remains a breaking news story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
